Ali's most memorable project came when she introduced Ashley Banks to life on the cult TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel Air in 1990. Starring alongside the actor Will Smith, the series was a huge hit. It was one of the top shows on the network, coming in 12th in the most watched shows from 1990 to 1992. It was also nominated for two Golden Globes.
