American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She started her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). On the FX series Dirt she was Willa McPherson in the role of a reporter. She also played the role of a support character on the short-lived series The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and she played Kaylee in the third season. The character was played by Jessie on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie was the character she played in the NBC show This Is Us. She has voiced various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe as a character in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge resided in Darien, Connecticut, until the age of 10 when her mom and daughter moved to California. There, they moved around for a year before they settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to be interested in singing, acting and photography at the age of 13. She moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was 15 to pursue her acting career.
